I WISH I COULD
BY MARCELLA VIONA LEGOH

I wish I could tell the world,

That every moment with you was my happiest,

That a perfect morning would always be;

You and I, watching the sun slowly rises.

I wish I could have more time,

To hold your hands a little tighter,

To linger at those eyes a little longer,

To hear you whisper on the phone until I gently fall asleep.

I wish I could tell you,

That differences in the world would never separate us,

That from now on we’ll be side by side,

With nothing but laughter and sweetest smiles.

I wish I could do all those things,

But I can only wish I could.
