Grateful for small things, big things, and everything in between as we believe that a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles and all good things life could offer. Mother Teresa once said that it’s not how much we give, but it’s about how much love we put into giving. Therefore, in expressing our happiness and how thankful we are, we truly think that giving is one of the million things we can do the very least.
Since the Christmas season is near, we reflected upon how far we came to reach the place we are in right now. How we are beyond blessed - to be able to get through challenges and struggles, how we crossed paths with people who helped us get through all of it, and to think that we might not be able to repay what life’s done for us to be at this point and all the blessings we’ve received. So, as Christmas is a season of giving, together with Instaprint, we decided to share our happiness with our dear friends at Dorkas Orphanage.
Flashback to a few months ago, we came to Dorkas and we were extremely happy to have met such an amazing group of people there. And last Saturday, we still can’t believe that we were given another chance to meet them again. With the support of Instaprint, presents sponsored by Ralyka, cakes by Tutello, we held a very humble gathering with Dorkas Orphanage. During those few hours, we sang and danced together, and played games together. We truly love how we were able to spend some quality time with them and some of us even made new friends there. It all started with a few words of greetings from Mr. Hans and Mr. Franky of Instaprint, then continued on as a little sharing session from them that gave us insights - that God bless us in a million of different ways and they don’t have to be necessarily the same, that maybe we might not have a complete families, maybe we don’t have this and that, but hey, won’t life be too much of struggles if you see it from that perspective? Don’t be blinded by the negativity and see how God has blessed us with other things that no one else might not have.
When the clock strikes 11:30 a.m., we all started to feel the hunger in our stomach. So, the team provided a humble lunch. But it didn’t stop with just a lunch. We got a surprise from Dorkas Orphanage Choir, where they sang two songs for us: Happy Birthday Jesus and Feliz Navidad. Their voices were angelic, one of those that we had in mind coming down from up above. We were all touched by their beautiful voices and just couldn’t get enough.
So here we are, a group of people that are beyond blessed. Blessed by His grace. And at the end of the day, it’s really not about what we have or what we’ve accomplished, but it’s about who you lifted up, it’s about what you’ve given back. (Denzel Washington)
