ENDLESS TEMPEST
BY MARIA JESSICA

Be it during dusk or,

At the glimmer of first light,

I find myself hurdled by quandaries.

Facing an endless tempest,

and struggling to sail past a storm so vast.

I reached a breaking point,

Where I was standing at the edge of a cliff,

Ready to free fall

Into the ocean.

Though I cannot lie in desperation.

I have to set sail, catch the wind,

and hold on as hard as I can;

Continue to sail,

No matter how long,

Until the sky clears up.

I’ve got to keep moving,

Otherwise I’ll be swallowed,

and eventually,

drown in the vast ocean.
